Raid rulesOperating RulesRespect:Respect and Integrity are the founding principals of any successful guild. Without respect for the other players in the given raid, or in a general setting, you will be removed as a member of the guild. Your Integrity is who you are when nobody is watching you or knows who you are. In Datus we are all brothers for a common cause, so do not allow your integrity to be questioned under any circumstance. Attendance:We expect you to tell us at least 4 hours in advance and make a post on the website if you CAN NOT MAKE a raid. We think this is one of the worst kinds of disrespect you can show the other members of the guild. Penalties can and will be applied if you do not cancel properly. Unless otherwise noted in the table below, raid IDs for the listed instances are expected to be dedicated to the guild. This means no pugging. Exceptions will be granted if you speak with an officer first and post on the forums which officer granted you permission to go on a pug. Guild cohesion and weekly progression is the reason for this. This rule does not apply to Alts, alts are allowed to PUG on any night other then dedicated raid nights. If you do not agree with this rule, please remove yourself from the guild promptly or do not apply.
WOW is 'Serious Business':This rule is a more detailed level of rule #1. We are constantly looking at you guys, looking at your preparation, durability, enchantment qualities, quality (and selection of) gems, consumables, and your punctuality. With having dual specs available we expect everyone to have one pure PVE main spec that they plan on keeping throughout the majority of Wrath. We all pay Blizzard and allocate our time to play this game. Make it worthwhile for yourself and the others in your guild. Main toons are used for accomplishments, achievements and guild support; alt toons are used for fun and play. Raiding Rules:We expect you to have certain mods installed. If you don't, you don't raid. These mods plus optional ones are listed under Required Addons . Even in PVP there are required mods or the equivalent thereof. At Level 80 all gear is to be best enchanted/socketed if you desire to raid. Bring plenty of reagents, pots, shards, etc according to your class. All raids require that all members are buffed via a food buff and a guardian elixir, battle elixir, or flask. Buff status will be checked before the boss, and those that are not utilizing these will be removed from the raid. If this behavior is cronic, a member can be demoted from raid status or removed from the guild. No member of the raid other than a Raid Leader or another Officer can ask to post damage or healing meters in raid or guild chat. If you want to see what you are doing download the mod your self, ask for a private whisper or form an additional channel to talk about stuff like that. The ability to execute your task during a raid is key to the success of the guild, not being able to do so can result in you being replaced during a raid. e.g. damage done, healing done, clicking, staying online, staying silent on vent when asked. Ventrilo, Microphones, and Ventrilo usage. A working microphone is required in order to raid. You should not be speaking in vent unless requested by an officer to do so, or if a job that you are assigned is unable to be completed for some reason. If your mic doen't work properly you will be asked to mute yourself until you get it fixed or you will be globally muted on the server. Please use RAIDCHAT to asks for buffs, role channels for instructions and use a private channel to horse around. Use of cooldowns such and Ankh, Bloodlust, Soul Stones, etc will be determined by Guild Leaders and Officers. Player specs will be approved by the Guild Officers and Leaders. Those in the raid must join their respective in game channel and/or setup their vent binding. Those in the raid are not to whisper the Guild Leaders during the raid, they are to present their need to their active Officer. Please note that applying to another guild while being an active raider of Datus Mortalis means you don't want to raid with us anymore and will lead to a removal from the guild. Forums:We expect you to participate on the forum. All members should be looking at the forum section once per day. It takes a maximum of 2 minutes. DO NOT COMPLAIN OVER LOOT OR HOW WE DISTRIBUTE LOOT:Which means don't bring your drama to guild chat or vent. Doing so can result in you being demoted and/or removed from the guild. Understand the loot system before you decide to join the guild or join that raid. If you do not think it is far then go find a guild who has a better system. If you have an issue over a mistake in LOOT or EP/GP; contact your role leader and then an officer if the role leader can't fix your problem. LOOT DISTRIBUTION:Further explained in Section IV below. 25 Man: EP/GP will be used to determine loot distribution. Main Spec overrides off-spec. Off-spec overrides alts. 10 Man: Everything is /roll, Main spec gets priority on an item over an off spec to include the spec swapping that is included in Wrath. If an item is a very minor upgrade or side grade off spec can roll against main spec. Character RulesCharacter:You must make a choice between a MAIN and ALT (if you have a second lvl 80). Your choice will be noted in your guild rank. To change your MAIN, you must post the reason why you want to change and how this will help the guild. If the change was not initiated by an officer asking you if you wanted to change there will be a Gold or EP/GP penalty that will have to be cleared before you are allowed to raid on your new main. You can have 2 mains if you make one a PVE main and one a PVP main. The PVP main will be treated as an alt in PVE content and raids, the PVE main will be treated as an alt for PVP raids. Subbing:In all content we raid including PVP on raid nights, there will be no alt in the raid unless specifically desired by the officers. NOTE: That alt is not eligible for loot unless no one else desires the loot. Possible EP/GP bonuses will be awarded for such assistance in a time of need. EP/GP penalties can be applied for bringing an alt to a raid that slows down progress even if a role leader authorizes the sub. We do this because if your alt only does 1400DPS and your main does 2800DPS you are taking time away from the rest of the guild bringing a lower geared person to the raid. Loot Distribution, via EP/GPThe EP/GP system will be used. All information can be found by following the links below: System Overview: http://code.google.com/p/epgp/wiki/TheSystem GP Calculation: http://code.google.com/p/epgp/wiki/GearPoints The Required Add-On 1): http://code.google.com/p/epgp/downloads/list The Required Add-On 2): http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/epgp_lootmaster.aspx Terms Explanation:
EP/GP, Credits, Debits, and TrackingMethod:The Mod, EP/GP is used to track your PR or Personal Rating. It is YOUR responsibility to insure that mistakes are not being made with your EP/GP. Errors do occur; however, it is the member that needs to check your EP/GP. *NOTE: There is a minimum amount of EP you must have to be loot eligible. If you are not at this level, then you will not be able to take loot over someone that is over the minimum. This does not mean that you can't receive loot if no one else that is over the minimum doesn't want the loot. EP Gaining Events:On-Time Bonus (+10 EP) - Awarded for those inside the instance at the start time listed on the phpraid site. Standby raiders that were not moved to the raid group on the phpraid site are eligible for this award. Duration (+1 EP per minute) - Awarded in 15 min increments for the duration of the raid. Iron Man Bonus (+10 EP) - Awarded at the very end of the raid, immediatly AFTER the raid has been called. Do not leave the raid group, or the instance before this bonus has been awarded. You will MISS the Iron Man bonus if you do. It will not be awarded after the fact. Standby raiders are eligible for this award. You must be in the raid or standby the entire duration of the raid, from start to finish. First Time Boss Kill (+Variable EP) - Killing a boss not on farm status will result in a bonus distributed to those in the raid. Special Events (+Variable EP) - Officers can award EP for various reasons; however, this is rare and usually limited to something that benefits the guild as whole. Standby - For any raid that you are still standby on, you will be awarded EP. Standby is defined as having your character outside the instance, ready to raid. You may be on your alt; however, you must make sure that your alt has the proper officer note in order for your main to recieve the EP credits. You must contact your role officer to confirm you standby status before the raid starts. Signing up does not grant you standby status. NOTE: You may be replaced at any given time during a raid for the purposes of progression. Complaining of such a thing will result in no standby EP. NOTE: Initiate members gain the same amount of EP/GP as every other member; however, they are limited by the rule in section III.2 Penalty Events:No Show If you didnt post on LoA (+200 GP) - A penalty will be assessed against you if you are no show, after signing up, at the same time that the Iron Man Bonus is awarded at the end of the night. Repeated abuses will result in removal from the guild. Leaving without just cause (+100 GP per every hour left in the raid) - A penalty will be assessed against you if you leave the raid for any unapproved reason, and will be assessed immediatly. Repeated abuses will result in removal from the guild. Special Events (-Variable EP) - Officers can Remove EP for various reasons. Generally speaking however, you will be removed from the guild before we add GP for reasons other than those listed. Removal from or Leaving the Guild (100% of EP removed) - If you are removed or decide to leave the guild, all accrued EP is removed. If you rejoin the guild at a late date, you will not have your EP restored. Guild Structure & AdministrationGuild Leader: Leekara

The management reserves the right to change the rules at any time without any notice. The above rules/policies invalidate any other rules/policies; past, present, or future. If it isn't in writing here, it isn't a rule/policy. Meaning of the Guild Name Datus Mortalis is in latin, it means Dealer of Death, so in other words, Grim Reaper. v4.0 | Last Updated 06/06/2010 | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
